Facials, Peels & Microneedling, Hands-On
Skin care at Better Plastic Surgery is the hands-on tier of a program that runs from a daily ZO® regimen at home to the Sciton laser platform above it. Every treatment is performed by Lauren Lamm, Board Certified Aesthetician, with Circadia and ZO® Skin Health professional lines, inside a board-certified plastic surgeon’s practice. That changes what a facial can be: it is chosen for a skin condition, sequenced around surgery, injectables and microneedling, and handed to the surgeon when a treatment is deeper than an aesthetician’s scope.
Lauren performs every treatment on this menu and builds each patient’s home regimen with Dr. Rafizadeh’s oversight. New clients start with Your Skin Strategy, a 20-minute consultation credited toward the first treatment, so the regimen and the first appointment are planned together. She also coordinates pre-surgery skin prep and post-operative recovery facials for the practice’s surgical patients.
What’s on the Menu
Nineteen treatments across four groups — facials (Circadia and ZO), chemical peels from a light lactic refresh to the clinician-led ZO 3-Step, clinical microneedling for face, neck and décolleté (with optional exosome or PDRN boosters applied while the channels are open), and focused treatments such as back facials, teen facials, dermaplaning and LED — plus enhancements and three-treatment series. A few of the most-booked:

For Surgical Patients
Facials are planned on either side of surgery. A conditioning facial plus a ZO Getting Skin Ready regimen in the weeks before a facelift, eyelid surgery or laser treatment sends the skin into surgery healthy. After surgery, a gentle recovery facial — lymphatic drainage, calming hydration, no active acids — is booked by the front desk once Dr. Rafizadeh clears the incisions, typically three to six weeks post-op. Peels, dermaplaning and microneedling wait for his go-ahead.
Why Preparation Matters
Most peel disappointments come from unprepared skin. A few weeks on a ZO regimen — cleanser, exfoliant, retinol, sunscreen — thins the dead surface layer, stabilises pigment cells and strengthens the barrier, so the same peel penetrates evenly, heals faster and carries less pigment risk on deeper skin tones. Lauren builds that regimen at Your Skin Strategy and times the first peel to it.
