What Is Facial Rejuvenation?
The face does not age one feature at a time — and it should not be rejuvenated one feature at a time either. Skin loses its quality, volume deflates from the cheeks and lips, the brow and eyelids descend, and the jawline and neck soften, all together. Facial rejuvenation is the coordinated answer: a single plan that may combine a facelift and neck lift, eyelid surgery, brow lift, facial fat grafting, and a lip lift in one operation — then supports the result with medical-grade skin care and regenerative treatments. Dr. Rafizadeh has designed and personally performed these combinations for more than 40 years in Morristown, NJ.
“A face that has aged in harmony should be restored in harmony. When you lift the jawline but leave tired eyes above it, the eyes give it away — and when you treat everything that aged together, in proportion, nobody can say what changed. They only say you look wonderful.”
— Dr. Farhad Rafizadeh, MD FACS

Designing Your Combination
There is no standard facial rejuvenation — the right combination is read off your face, not a menu. These are the building blocks Dr. Rafizadeh most often combines, each linked to its own in-depth page:
Facelift & Neck Lift
The foundation of most combination plans. Dr. Rafizadeh’s deep plane facelift releases the facial retaining ligaments and repositions the deeper tissue as one unit — correcting jowls, restoring the midface, and redefining the neck at its structural root. Facelift →
Eyelid Surgery & Brow Lift
The upper face frames every expression. Blepharoplasty removes the hooding and bags that read as tired, while a conservative brow lift restores the natural brow position — together they brighten the eyes without changing their character. Eyelid Surgery → Brow Lift →
Facial Fat Grafting
Aging is deflation as much as descent. Fat grafting returns your own living tissue to the cheeks, temples, and lips — restoring the soft fullness of a younger face and improving the overlying skin. It pairs naturally with a lift in the same operation. Fat Grafting →
Lip Lift
The upper lip lengthens with age, hiding the teeth and flattening the smile. A subnasal lip lift — a special interest of the practice, presented internationally — shortens that distance and restores youthful lip show with a hidden incision. Lip Lift →
Why Combine, Rather Than Stage?
Three reasons. Harmony — features restored together mature together, so nothing looks conspicuously newer than its neighbor. One recovery — the downtimes overlap instead of stacking, so a facelift with eyelid surgery costs you roughly the same two weeks as the facelift alone. Economy — anesthesia and facility time are shared in a single session rather than paid for twice. The counterweight is operative time and candidate health, which is why the combination is always a surgical judgment — and why staging is sometimes the right answer, honestly given.
Who Is a Good Candidate?
The best candidates for combination facial rejuvenation are healthy patients — typically in their late forties through seventies — whose aging shows in more than one region: jowls with hooded eyes, a softened neck with deflated cheeks, or all of the above. Non-smokers, patients at a stable weight, and those with realistic expectations do best. Combination surgery is not the right plan for patients with significant medical conditions that make longer anesthesia unwise, for younger patients whose concern is really one isolated feature, or for anyone whose goal is a dramatically different face. In those cases Dr. Rafizadeh will say so — and recommend the single procedure, the staged plan, or the non-surgical routine that actually fits. The consultation is a candid conversation, never a sales pitch.

Your consultation is with Dr. Rafizadeh himself — never a coordinator. He examines how each region of your face has aged, discusses which combinations genuinely serve you, and builds a written plan with an all-inclusive quote. Surgery is performed in an accredited Morristown facility with continuous anesthesia monitoring; most combination plans are completed in a single session. You are seen the next day, at one week, one month, and through your first year — personally, every time.

Combination recovery follows the rhythm of its largest procedure — usually the facelift — with the smaller procedures healing inside the same window:
The Skin Care Foundation
Surgery restores structure — but the surface of the face is its own dimension of aging, and no lift changes skin texture, tone, or sun damage. That is why every rejuvenation plan here includes a medical-grade skin care routine, built in three phases:
Retinoids and antioxidants condition the skin in the weeks before surgery so it arrives at the operating room healthy, resilient, and primed to heal.
Gentle cleansing, barrier repair, and strict daily sunscreen shield healing skin and incisions — sun protection is the single most important scar instruction we give.
A sustained routine — retinoid, antioxidant, SPF — plus periodic Botox/Dysport or filler touch-ups protects the surgical result and slows the next decade of aging.
Exosomes & Regenerative Skin Treatments
Exosomes are the newest arrival in regenerative skin care: microscopic messenger particles, released by cells, that carry growth and repair signals. In aesthetic practice they are applied topically — most often immediately after microneedling or laser resurfacing — with the goal of calming redness, shortening downtime, and improving skin quality as it heals.
Our position is the same honest one we take on everything: the early data and clinical experience on topical exosomes for skin recovery are genuinely encouraging, but no exosome product is FDA-approved as a drug, injectable exosomes are not permitted, and marketing in this space runs far ahead of evidence. We offer regenerative skin treatments as an adjunct to proven procedures — never as a substitute for them — and we will tell you plainly which claims the science supports. If a clinic is promising facelift results from a serum, keep your hand on your wallet.

The cost of facial rejuvenation depends entirely on the combination: which procedures are included, the anesthesia plan, and facility time. Combining procedures into one session is usually more economical than staging them separately, because the anesthesia and facility portions are shared. Rather than publish a number that fits no one, the practice provides a precise, all-inclusive written quote — surgeon, facility, and anesthesia together — at your consultation, so you know the complete cost before you schedule anything. Financing is available through Alphaeon Credit and CareCredit — see our financing page for how the application process works.
