Shaping of the lower trunk and buttocks with lipo-sculpting and fat grafting.

I wrote about the buttocks to breast relationship or buttocks to breast ratio on 9/16/11. I would like to concentrate today on the aesthetics of the buttocks and the lower trunk. Liposuction is one of our greatest tools in plastic surgery. When artistic principles are used to create the proper proportion between the waist, hips and buttocks you can expect true beautification of the female body.

The buttocks go through the same process of aging as the face. The skin looses elasticity and there is relative loss of fat. The only difference is that this seems to happen at an earlier age. Fat grafting to the buttocks is probably more successful than anywhere else in the body. The buttocks can accept a considerable volume of fat grafting with excellent results. Volumes in the 300 to 600 mls per side can cause a lifting effect of the buttocks which can rejuvenate the area and improve the aesthetic results. The proportions reaching or approaching the golden ratio of 1 to 1.6 can be obtained by the combination of liposuction to sculpt the waist, hip lines, and fat grafting to the buttocks.
