A: What determines the price of a facelift in New Jersey?

I should say that the price of a facelift is like the price of a bottle of wine. You can’t expect a $5 bottle of wine to be any good, but you probably don’t want to spend more than $50. The bottom-line is don’t go for the cheapest or the most expensive. At the same time you don’t want the price to be a factor in judging the quality of a facelift. Most plastic surgeons who do a good facelift, get a lot patient referrals. Face lifting is a long tedious operation and most well trained and experienced plastic surgeon who get good results are not going to discount their prices. There are however doctor who advertise and have a big overhead. They have higher prices to pay tor their marketing expenses. These are the doctors to avoid . You need to make a judgment on you own. Choose a plastic surgeon with a good reputation. Don’t pay attention to magazines and tv adds. Ask to see pictures and talk to other patients. Remember you get what you pay for, but you also want to pay for what you get.
There is no question that other factors affect the price. Factors like location, the surgeon’s experience, but also the state of the economy and the market in general. When the market is flat as it has been for the last decade, prices do not go up. My facelift fees did not increase the last ten years. I feel that what I do offers patients a great value.
