There is nothing like a tough time to make one appreciate all the conveniences that we enjoy today. We had no electricity at home for a week and no phone and internet in the office. We only communicated with the world using our iPhones. Now everything is back to normal and that makes me happy. Even though the situation is improving in New Jersey especially in Morristown, we continue taking all the social distancing precautions and still ask patients to call us from their cars before walking in the office. We still don’t want to have more than one patient in the waiting room. All surfaces and door handles are wiped with antiseptic frequently. We all wear masks except when we are working close to the lips or mouth and the patient can’t wear a mask. In those cases, we wear a mask and a shield. Before any elective surgery, the patient has been tested to r/u a COVID infection.
